2023 Reading list
Mike Chapple- CISSP Study Guide.
The one and only book that you need to pass the CISSP exam. This is an intimidating book that is not for the faint hearted. It covers an immense amount information. While the book is excellent one disadvantage is that the chapters are not perfectly aligned to the ISC2 knowledge domains and that makes it difficult to "mix and match" this book with other study materials. The book also has an online exam bank which is excellent and highly recommended.
Shon Harris - Fernando J. Maymi - CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide, 0th Edition
"Only" 1360 pages..... The epic masterpiece of the late Shon Harris. I was unable to finish this book due its size but it was an excellent reference to clarify certain topics. More verbose than the officeal stugyide and perfectly alignes with the knowledge domains, but the included test exams were not that usefull.
Oliver Burkeman - Four Thousand Weeks
A very sobering read - The ruthless reality of our limited span ( both lifespan and attention span)
Ross Anderson - Security Engineering
I'm more and more convinced that cybersecurity has more to do with human psychology than actual technological sophistication.
